After starting to come to the Wellness Center, I had a pain level between 7 and 8. After just two weeks in my back and kidney area, the pain level was down to about a 3. This was probably the best day that I’ve had in a year.

Dr.Suzanne Clare, B.S., D.C., D.A.c, F.I.A.M.A, ADS
Recipient of the prestigious "Founder of Texas Acupuncture" award, Dr. Clare was among those who worked with two governors administrations to achieve licensure status for the acupuncture profession in Texas, and was the first chiropractic doctor to receive that license.
A former Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences and Nutritional Therapeutics at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX, Dr. Clare was invited to lecture on both chiropractic and acupuncture techniques to distinguished groups of physicians and other health professionals in China, Sri Lanka, and here in the U.S. A teacher at heart, Dr. Suzanne offers her patients both gentle and effective care, as well as one-on-one instruction and group workshops on subjects ranging from nutrition, exercise, and anti-aging to "how-to" trigger point and acupressure classes.

Personal Background
Born in Blytheville, Arkansas to a school district superintendent and a social worker, Dr. Clare’s passion for education emerged at an early age. Upon completion of her pre-med and doctorate, Dr. Clare and her husband/partner, Dr. David S. Stewart first served together as faculty at Palmer College and then at Parker College before entering private practice in 1987. Parents of six (ages 38, 36, 34, 17, 16, and 15 – the three youngest adopted from Russia) and grandparents of eight, Drs. Clare and Stewart share both homeschooling duties and their practice, which is focused on individual and customized treatment for people desiring safe, gentle, and natural healing. Both are delighted to speak before civic, professional, and church groups on topics close to their hearts, including wellness and international adoption. |

In demand nationally and internationally as a lecturer and consultant in the fields of chiropractic and acupuncture, Dr. Stewart has held positions as Clinical Instructor at the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, and as the Director of Clinics and professor at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX.
Invited to Beijing, China by the Chinese National Olympic Team, Dr. Stewart served as an American Chiropractic Association delegate, and trained the Olympic doctors in sport enhancement techniques and trauma cases.

Personal Background
Born in Roseboro, NC, Dr. Stewart was a high school football all-star and graduated with honors from Campbell University in 1972, having received the Edna Q. Profit Chemistry Award. Following one year as a chemistry teacher and football coach, he worked for nine years as a chemical engineer for the DuPont Corporation before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic. Receiving several clinical and leadership awards upon graduation, Dr. Stewart served as a Clinical Teaching Resident prior to accepting the position as Director of Public Clinics at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. Though he enjoyed teaching, Dr. Stewart desired a more direct involvement in patient care; he entered private practice in 1987.
Married to Dr. Suzanne Clare since 1986, Dr. Stewart is the father of six (ages 38, 36, 34, 17, 16, and 15) and the grandfather of eight. His three youngest children were adopted from Russia. Dr. Stewart is delighted to speak before civic and professional groups on topics ranging from international adoption and traveling in China, to health issues including child seat safety, herbal medicines, acupuncture, and chiropractic. |
